Bachelor of Theology (B.Th) COURSE SUMMARY
program prepares students for advanced studyin theology
and ministry and for a variety of lay ministry roles.
Program Learning Outcomes
Explore the Scriptures from the historical, literary and theological perspectives. Explore major doctrines and major historical events of
the church. Develop basic skills necessary for lay ministries.
Reflect on and apply biblical and theological truths in lay ministry settings. Use theological knowledge for personal and spiritual
development.
Program Requirements
Prerequisite: a high school diploma
Length of program: 4 years (8 full-time semesters), at least 120
semester hours at Chong shin Theological College & Seminary in
Canada. Students must have an overall grade point average of at least 2.0 for graduation. BTh students are not required to write an undergraduate thesis for graduation. Curriculum: general education (45 hours), theology (45), and electives (30)
Master of Divinity
The Master of Divinity (MDiv) COURSE SUMMARY
the program prepares students to serve local churches as ordained pastors.
Program Learning Outcomes
Competence in interpreting and applying the Bible in preaching, teaching and other situations. Competence in theological reflection on the Christian faith from the Reformed perspective.
Application of theological perspectives to diverse ministry and life situations. Pastoral leadership in the church and community settings.
A lifestyle integrating scholarly learning and Christ-like piety.
Program Requirements
Prerequisite: a bachelor's degree
Length of program: 3 years (6 full-time semesters), a minimum of 96 semester hours Residence requirement: at least 77 semester hours at Chong shin Theological College & Seminary in Canada.

Master of Church Music
The Master of Church Music (MCM) COURSE SUMMARY
the program prepares music students for doctoral study in church music and also for professional leadership in music ministry in church and community settings.
Program Learning Outcomes
The foundation includes music history and bibliography, aural and analytical skills, and technologies. Professional competence in conducting, choral/vocal, or other studies. Understanding of pedagogical processes for leading and teaching choir, praise team, or small ensemble. Evaluation of quality and liturgical and theological appropriateness of works used in worship. The practice of formation integrating music and spirituality.
Program Requirements
Prerequisite: a bachelor's degree in music
Length of program: 2 years (4 full-time semesters), a minimum of
48 semester hours Residence requirement: at least 39 semester hours at Chong shin Theological College & Seminary in Canada.
Students must have an overall grade point average of at least 2.5.
A graduation recital is required for the MCM degree.
Curriculum: 12 required courses (36 sem. hours), 4 electives (12 sem. hours)
Doctor of Ministry
Our Doctor of Ministry (D.Min) COURSE SUMMARY

A theological vision of pastoral leadership rooted in the Reformed tradition. Advanced skills as pastors and preachers to better serve congregations. Collegial relationships for sustaining a life of study and practice. Renewal of faith in Jesus Christ and commitment to pastoral leadership.
Program Requirements
Prerequisite: a MDiv degree and three (3) years of prior ministry experience Length of program: min. 3 years (6 full-time semesters), a minimum of 48 semester hours Residence requirement: at least 32 semester hours at Chong shin Theological College & Seminary in Canada. Students must have an overall grade point average of at least 3.0 for graduation. An advanced professional dissertation is required for the DMin degree. Curriculum: doctoral studies (32 hours), research (8 hours), thesis writing (8 hours)

Th.D (DOCTOR OF THEOLOGY IN BIBLICAL STUDIES)
Purpose: The purpose of the Doctor of Theology in Biblical Studies is to
provide a more advanced understanding of Biblical Studies for further graduate
study or for general educational purposes. The program may serve a variety of
aims: preparation for some forms of teaching, the scholarly enhancement of
ministerial practise, or disciplined reflection on a specialized function in Biblical

PH.D (DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY IN BIBLICAL STUDIES)
Purpose: The Doctor of CHRISTIAN PHILOSOPHY in Biblical Studies is
primarily to equip persons for vocations of teaching and research in Biblical
Studies and for the scholarly enhancement of ministerial practice.
